“ Sunday evening your team of 2 guys delivered excellent service. The slew of online app orders and customer walk ins all handled fast and efficiently. The food was good. The patties were yummy and my highlight, I liked the chicken one so flaky and crispy. I prefered that one over the beef. The jerk chicken with rice and peas was also on point. I would return again and again for a simply good eats. Its tucked away in this centre that i happened to waltz in. ”
“ One of the places I frequently went to pre-pandemic and so glad I got to go again. Overall the food is unchanged which means it is fantastic. The rice is very flavourful and well cooked. The jerk chicken is soft and delicious. The serving of coleslaw is a perfect addition to the meal. Finally, for spice lovers, ask for the complimentary hot sauce. It changes the dish completely. The staff is nice too but noticed the prices have increased but definitely a filling meal. ”
“ This is one of the best jerk chicken I have ever had. The chicken was soft and well made, it wasn’t burnt at all. The coleslaw was creamy and delicious, and the rice wasn’t dry and went well with the gravy! Their green salsa was amazing also and went well with the jerk chicken. I got a small jerk chicken with rice and peas, coleslaw, and jerk chicken for 10 tax. Portions were good for a small size so the price is decent. Overall, I’m really happy with it. Will definitely back! ”
“ Want to check out Jamaican food? Start here at Allwyn's with a Stuffed Sandwich which really should be called The Triple Threat (or Treat) because this inventive star does it all. First, it has all the right stuff with jerk, patty, coco bun and coleslaw. Second, it looks good, smells good, is a fun slobbery mess to eat and tastes great. Third, for a sandwich, it fills you up, all for under 6 plus tax, thus taking home the five star grand prize with a dominating performance. Tried out the jerk pork with peas and rice with coleslaw and the same moist nicely spiced pork for the sandwich makes for a good conventional Jamaican dish. Nice people here too. Cash or debit only. Worth seeking out (especially in the cold of winter February 2019) in the food court on the West side of the ground floor of the Emerald condo buildings off Yonge St. The live trees here make for a nice buffer to the activity at lunch time and you get the added amusement of having your table wobble gently everytime a subway train passes by underground. Check out that sandwich! ”
“ Allwyns has a good reputation going for them since their early beginnings and they still have it to this day. Authentic all the way with Allwyn's. It shouldn't be a well kept secret but apparently nowadays it is but it's not complicated to figure out; Good people Make good food. ”
“ So happy Allwyn's opened a location near me! I've heard good things about their food and they didn't disappoint. The jerk chicken sandwich which includes a patty and coleslaw is a must try! We have had this sandwich quite a few times and it's always consistently good. ”
“ The stuffed patty is phenomenal. I was hesitant to order it at first since it was the most expensive patty on the menu but it’s absolutely worth it! Beef patty jerk chicken coleslaw coco bread. How can you go wrong? ”
“ This place is always super busy and it’s definitely because their food is delicious and prepared so quickly! Their stuffed sandwich was phenomenal, a little spicy for some but it was perfect for me! A very filling and cheap lunch. ”
